Head to the Egyptian Museum for a historical and cultural feast. The building houses 165,000 Egyptian artefacts. The priceless treasures of King Tutankhamen are the main attraction. His six stunning gold gilded coffins dominate the main hall. Of course the main attraction is the amazing Death Mask, which remains in perfect condition to this day.

Mount Sinai

Great Sphinx of Giza

The Sphinx is located in Cairo too. The statue depicts a mythical creature with a lion's body and a human head which stands on the Giza Plateau on the west bank of the Nile in Giza. It is significant for being the largest monolith statue in the world. It is impossible to measure the scale of this artefact without visiting it yourself. It is also the oldest known monumental sculpture, and was believed to have been built by ancient Egyptians of the Old Kingdom.
